The session will cover the journey that Warwickshire County Council has taken to move beyond change and deliver transformed services to the people of Warwickshire. During this journey, the County Council have not only sustained morale and staff engagement, but improved the staff satisfaction scores from 67 to 70% over 18 months at the same time as reducing staffing by 30%, driving out costs and changing structures and mind sets. This is a story of leadership, communication, engagement and cultural shift, both for staff and for those who receive services. You will hear how managers have been equipped to manage change and difficult messages, about senior leaders and the challenge of personal leadership and a values based approach and also the role HR and OD have played in building a strong and effective workforce for the future.
