What are ‘behavioural insights’?

How can they improve public services?

Seemingly inconsequential adaptations to the design and implementation of public services can lead to big impacts on behaviour, often at low cost.

Felicity Algate, Director of the Behavioural Insights Team will introduce ‘behavioural insights’ and talk through examples of where behavioural insights approaches to public service design led to improved outcomes…and where they didn’t.

The Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) is a social purpose company which is jointly owned by the UK Government; Nesta (the innovation charity); and BIT employees
