About this Event

The Knowledge and Innovation Network (KIN) at Warwick Business School over the last 19 years has been influential to the way knowledge and innovation has been established across a number of organisation in the UK and beyond.

We are sad to announce that after 19 years of working closely with Global Knowledge Managers, Communities of Practice members & leaders and Innovation specialists across a wide range of sectors, we are closing the KIN Network. Our final event will take place online using just two of the technologies that we have come to love (or loathe) over the past few months: Zoom and Mural. If you are not familiar with using either of these platforms, then follow the links below to check them out before the session, or join the 'Mural overview' ahead of the start of the main programme.

This event will be hosted by the KIN Facilitation team and will start with reflections of what we have achieved over the last 19 years, followed by a number of KIN member case studies, sharing what has been developed, amended, re-used and applied since KIN was created back in 2001. We will pay special attention to the rapid learning that has taken place in the last 7 months with changes in working practices, knowledge sharing and innovations as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. This first session will include interactive polls and the opportunity to ask questions via the Zoom Chat facility and will end with an open Q&A based upon points raised in the chat during the session.

We will then take a 5 minute comfort break before moving onto an interactive Mural session, where we will explore your key lessons and take-aways, as well taking a look at collaborating in the future, highlighting the pros and cons of synchronous V's asynchronous collaboration, showing that online interactions can be both engaging and productive if you know which technologies to use for which outcomes! If you have not used Mural before, then you can sign up for a 20 minute overview which will take place at 10.30 ahead of the main event.

The final session of the event will be a practical exploration of how you can continue to drive the Knowledge and Innovation agenda across your organisation and stay connected with contacts made across the KIN network.
