Defra has posted about the event on Twitter here, please feel free to share on your social media networks.The session will be co-chaired by Andrea Ledward, International Biodiversity and Climate Director at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and Beccy Speight, CEO, RSPB. It will begin with a video address from Environment Minister Rebecca Pow MP, and include presentations from two environmental charities working in London; Trees for Cities and Global Generation as well as a presentation from the National Academy for Social Prescribing. The session will also feature a panel discussion with Dr Alison Hartshorn, Grow Wild Programme Manager, Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, Oge Ejizu, London Leader for Black Girls Hike and John Holland-Kaye, CEO, Heathrow Airport Ltd.This session will be the first to take place in a series of virtual events held by Defra, with a focus on the importance of nature, biodiversity and local community action.
