As part of Interfaith Week 2021, ONS is running an interfaith panel discussion on Faith & Statistics.
The topic of this session will be on the questions of why statistics matter to the panellists’ communities and how faith inspires their involvement in statistics.
We are delighted that Pete Benton (Director of Transformation - Health, Population and Methods Group and ONS Faith and Belief Champion) will be joined by:
• Dr Lakshmi Vyas – President, Hindu Forum Europe and Hindu Matters Britain. Former Principal of Elphinstone College
• Jagdev Singh Virdee - member of the Royal Statistical Society's National Statistics Advisory Group, editor of the British Sikh Report, Executive Committee of the Sikh Assembly
• Dr Ken Eames – Senior Statistical Researcher, Church of England
• Jonathan Boyd – Executive Director, Institute for Jewish Policy Research
Come and join ONS and the panellists for an hour’s discussion, hearing from a range of voices about the influence of statistics.
We hope you can join us and bring any questions via sli.do using this code: 652268. Sign up is via Eventbrite with the session being held on Microsoft Teams.
