Accelerate your Personal and Professional Development

Events - Public

Starting 05 Apr 2022 - 17:30 through to 05 Apr 2022 - 20:00

Join your fellow project professional and community members at this face to face event in Birmingham!

As the post-COVID world adjusts to returning to ‘normal’, the immediate effect on the world of work has been to trigger a transitional shift on areas such as ways of working like the ‘Hybrid’ model, and the impact of social changes and employment such as the ‘Big Resignation’. This leads us to consider how we move forward as individuals and as project professionals.

Of interest to programme and project managers at all stages of their career, the discussion will be based upon Richard Tulley's experience, insight, and personal reflections. It will explore the principles of personal and professional development, the critical foundations, and the “accelerators”, with an emphasis upon developing behavioural skills.

It will include the important role of APM in project manager development, and topical themes such as mentoring. Audience engagement will be very much encouraged.

In this event, the first face-to-face event by the Midlands Branch for two years, Richard will discuss the development of project professionals, both in the context of your own personal and professional development, as well as developing your project management team or project management practice.

Using his experience of over 20 years in complex programmes, and his current focus on developing programme and project professionals, Richard will explore the close coupling of personal and professional development, how you can objectively identify development opportunities, and take pro-active steps towards a greater sense of well-being, acceleration of your personal development, and more effective Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
