Many older people don’t claim all the income they are entitled to, plus managing energy bills and how to use home energy efficiently is really important.
This session aims to raise awareness of the benefits that exist to support older people and will provide guidance on supporting people with energy advice.
Speaker
- Paul McCafferty, Energy Trainer – North, Age Scotland
Our speaker will cover the following:
- means tested benefits and non-means tested benefits - what the difference is, what means testing is and the benefits you should be aware of
- energy advice - understanding energy bills, how to be more energy efficient and what payments there are for older people during the winter
There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion. So come and join us to find out more about benefits and energy advice from Age Scotland.
