Go ON Digital Inclusion Partnership Summer Meeting

Go ON is an initiative that brings together local government, charities, banks, trade unions, among other sectors, to share their experiences of promoting digital inclusion and identify ways of resolving digital exclusion.

What's on the agenda?

Insights and perspectives on the latest digital inclusion initiatives from the following host of Speakers:

Speaker One: Liz Chapman, Paul Banks and Tracey Boffey Wigan Council

Sharing insights and learnings from Wigans initiative, TechMates which is a digital mentor service introduced by Wigan Council’s Digital Services Team, against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic.

TechMates has provided vital support to residents, helping them access digital technology, Wi-Fi, and bespoke digital support over the telephone and via video calls.


Speaker Two: Digital transformation in Health & Social Care - Roz Davies, mHabitat

Roz will be sharing some insights into a digitally included Health & Social Care ensuring everyone benefits from digitally enabled health and care.

mHabitat are hosted by Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, it supports people-centred digital innovation in health and social care. Everything they do at mHabitat has a social purpose and their aim is to develop digital technologies to improve lives and solve real world problems. Most importantly, they develop these technologies using a co-design process. This means that they collaborate with patients, citizens and practitioners to achieve the end result.

More about the meeting

This round table event brings together anything from 15 to 35 colleagues, from an array of public and private organisations. Attendees get the chance to talk about the latest achievements or challenges they have had within the scope of digital inclusion/exclusion.

The event is facilitated by iNetwork. The participatory format allows focused discussions to take place and offers a variety of speakers the chance to showcase any relevant work or ideas to the group.. Presentations and highlights from the meeting are posted on Knowledge Hub, which enables further exposure throughout iNetwork’s membership. Links to these resources are also included in the official iNetwork monthly newsletter for the Partnership’s wider readership
