Training

The Social Research Association (SRA) champions excellence in social research by offering extensive training, guidance, and support to over 1,500 members worldwide. Founded in 1978 and a charity since 2008, it aids researchers in various sectors through diverse training courses, publications, ethical guidance, and career resources.

The SRA offers a wide range of courses on quantitaive and qualitative data analysis, data visualisation, research methods and evaluation skills. Beyond training, the SRA provides extensive support through guidance on research ethics and GDPR compliance, publications like Research Matters magazine and the SRA Journal, and a forum for ethical dilemmas. It also hosts various events, maintains regional branches, and offers career guidance alongside a job board. Emphasizing the importance of social research in understanding public opinion, attitudes, and behaviour, the SRA supports the development of evidence-based policy and decision-making across organizations
