This report was published in October 2019 by NHSX. Intending to provide a cohesive overview of the current use of data-driven technologies within the health and care system, the report aims to clearly demonstrate where AI technology can be utilised and what can be done to ensure its use is safe, effective and ethically acceptable. This includes discussion on what AI is and where it is being used, how to govern AI, protecting patient safety, supporting the workforce, and encouraging the adaptation and spread of this technology.
