LG Inform and LG Inform Plus

LG Inform is the LGA’s free data service presenting local authorities with up-to-date published data about local areas. Containing 10,500 data items, and growing, LG Inform helps you review and compare performance with other local authorities using standard reports or via creating your own. Many themed and topic reports are available covering a wide variety of subjects. In addition, the information can be extracted and visualisations embedded on you website to support local Transparency. LG Inform Plus is a subscription service enabling drill down from data in LG Inform to small area information e.g. Wards. Data aggregation across other areas such as CCGs is also available. Subscribers can also add their own data, create reports and add new areas to the existing 2,800 data items covering demographics and key indicators such as Universal Credit. Additional services include Powers and Duties; Records retention schedules; GDPR and an API to mine over 1 billion pieces of data.
