transport impact of signficant new development
Hello all,
Para. 32 of the NPPF says that development should only be prevented or refused on transport grounds where the residual cumulative impacts of development are severe. Please does anyone have examples of decisions that have been made and upheld, whether through the local plan or development management process, that give some indication of what constitutes 'severe' residual cumulative impacts?
Also, is there any accepted threshold for when traffic impacts are considered' signficant'?

Hello,
another related thought (getting pretty nerdy now)..... but does anyone else have problems with transport modellers telling them that their transport model cannot accommodate all the development that is being proposed if the growth in transport is to be kept below the level prescribed by TEMPRO (which is needed if the modelling is going to be used to justify bids for transport funding, directly or indirectly from DfT) ? If so, perhaps you could share how you have got around it.
