Planning service career opportunities | North Yorkshire Council

The Planning Service for the new unitary authority has been re-structuring following LGR. A wide range of roles is now open to external candidates, including DM, Policy, Enforcement and Technical and specialist roles .

I'm particularly keen for people to share this with ecologists in their network as there are several ecology positions from entry level to manager.

We still have vacancies - notably North Yorkshire Council is recruiting an Ecology Manager – the closing date is this Sunday night (22nd Sept).

We're really excited to see who wants to come and take the tiller with the Ecology team. It's a pivotal time to influence our direction and priorities in the council, both in terms of our journey as a new unitary, with ink still wet on the structure of the new planning sevice and in terms of what's going on in the worlds of planning policy, development management, climate, biodiversity, nature recovery etc. It's a cracking job!

Note - hybrid working with flexible locations in the county.
