Using Digital Membership Cards and Loyalty Programs to Improve Visitor Engagement in Public Services

Hello everyone,

I am exploring how digital tools are being used to improve visitor engagement and service delivery in public-facing organizations such as museums, libraries, and cultural institutions.

In particular, I am interested in understanding whether any authorities have implemented:

  1. Digital membership cards for visitors or members
  2. Loyalty reward programs to encourage repeat visits
  3. Apple Wallet or Google Wallet-based tickets for easier access
  4. Guest experience surveys integrated into digital systems

From a planning and service improvement perspective, these tools seem to offer benefits such as better data collection, improved user experience, and streamlined access control. I would be interested to know if anyone has experience implementing such systems, and whether there are any challenges around adoption, privacy, or integration with existing public service frameworks. A digital membership card system could be particularly useful in improving accessibility, tracking engagement, and simplifying member identification across services.
