On the 4^th March 2003 in Aintree, the first meeting of the Cheshire and Merseyside Public Health Network took place. At the launch event, chaired by Janet Atherton, then the Director of Public Health for Sefton, a vision was set out for an inclusive Network that would work towards improving public health and wellbeing, as well as reducing inequalities.
