Can anyone on here advise on how air quality damage cost calculators fit into the existing section 106/CIL mechanism? I have only a very basic understanding of obtaining contributions from planning applications and air quality cost calculators.
At present out LPA is using S106 but we will be moving to CIL in the future. We would like to implement an air quality damage cost calculator for collecting money that funds offsite mitigation. Is this possible? A guidance note produced at County level advises collecting money for onsite mitigation only. I don't have a good understanding on the reasons for this.
Anyone have any experience?
