Hello, One of our Members has had a couple of instances brought to their attention where new development could impact on existing Renewable energy resources, e.g. a block of flats being proposed in front of a wind turbine or a row of Solar PV. Before I trawl the web, I was wondering if anyone has come across/has worked on/or in the case of a local authority has a policy on protecting renewable/low carbon energy sources in this sort of situation? Our intial view was that it could be addressed at the Development Management stage as a consideration when determining a proposal, but we're now exploring whether there are any examples of a stronger policy position on this. Any responses appreciated!
