Bath & N E Somerset went 'live' with 1APP earlier this year. Since encouraging the public to use 1APP we have also come across an increase in incorrect application form submissions through the Planning Portal. We are getting a lot of application forms submitted online that are not the right type for the development the applicant is seeking. Particularly joint forms for Full Planning, with another application type like Advertisement or Conservation Area Consent, are being submitted and the latter two are not usually needed. * Are many other councils coming across this problem? * Are they treating the application submission as 'invalid' as the 1APP form is incorrectly stating a development type blatantly not appropriate for the proposal? * How do other councils treat incorrect 1APP forms of this nature?
