Focus group on the role of planning authorities in reducing domestic CO2 emissions The Audit Commission is inviting planning officers to participate in a focus group in Birmingham on 3 March 2009 to discuss how the planning system is being used to support the reduction of domestic CO2 emissions in local areas. In particular, it will explore how planning authorities are promoting improvements in energy efficiency and helping to deliver national targets to increase the supply of low carbon and renewable energy. The focus group will form part of research for a national study that is due for publication in July 2009. The focus group will run from 11am to 1pm and will be followed by lunch. Travel expenses will also be paid.
