Recording customer satisfaction in planning policy

Does anyone know if there is any requirements for planning policy departments to record customer satisfaction with the service they provide? And if so, how have other councils gone about this. Any thought on this issue would be appreciated

This is usually dealt with on a deparment wide basis as part of the best value requirements, this should cover policy as well. Not sure how this changes under the national indicators.
