I don't think we will have too much difficulty delivering this round of budget cuts. I have the board in my pocket.  The inspection is a formality. null Is it fair? No. But it's not the fault of the inspectors

  The CQC has come in for more criticism recently a chief executive thinks they were unduly harsh in placing his trust in special measures having judged two areas of service failing yet recognised excellent work in many other areas of the trust. null The minister expects-Are inspections practise led or politically driven?

  How can a school be judged to be "outstanding" and 12 months latter the same school, with the same teachers,the same head and the same governors  be re assessed as "inadequate"? How can a local authority children's service be judge "serving most children well with good prospects for improvements" and then following a death in care be places in special measures? null What does a fair inspection look like?

They even got the name of the school wrong. They had us down as unitary council instead of a county council. They didn’t seem to know we had become a Foundation Trust. If they couldn’t get the basic facts right what confidence could you have in their assessment of the school/Hospital/service?  Of course they said they would correct any factual errors in the draft report but no other...
