Presenting documents online - good practice - Public forum - Planning Advisory Service (PAS)

I'm looking for good practice on publishing documents such as SPD's, Conservation Area Assessments and other planning related documents online. We have traditionally published these type of documents in pdf format online but given we are all moving towards online policy documents, I was wondering if any LPA's are using publishing software and specialist websites in order to present these type of documents too.
