Local Plan Preparation Costs
Has anyone with a recently adopted plan worked out what it cost to prepare the plan? I'm specifically interested in costs associated with: Examinations, Consultation, publications, evidence base particualrly SA but a total cost estimate would be useful as well.
Not precisely an answer, but we have set a budget for the Greater Exeter Strategic Plan (covering East Devon, Exeter, Mid Devon, Teignbridge, including strategic sites and policies only) of £810,000 over 3 - 4 years (excluding staff costs).
This is made up of evidence £638,000, printing £10,000, programme officer £40,000, Inspector £75,000. However, you specifically mention SEA and our intention is to prepare this in-house with some external critical friend/legal checking at the end.
More detailed indications as follows although obviously these are likey to vary somewhat as we consider tenders, etc and the timetable is likely to slip somewhat, extending some of the costs into 19/20.
