I have a situation which I hope someone could help me with. My daughter, has bought a house and was anticipating moving at the end of August. It transpires that the developer has not complied with the S106 requirements (basically the affordable houses are not finished). As all the private properties have been completed, the developer has asked the council for a waiver to allow the people to move in. What we have been told, is that the council will not grant a waiver and that the affordable housing must be completed before anyone can move in. Would the council do this, knowing that there are people waiting to move in? Or are we being told a bunch of lies by the builder? Is there anything we can do?
