On-line LDF Proposals Maps

We are looking at our options for providing on-line LDF Proposals Maps for the Submission Stage LDF. I am aware that the guidance in PPS12 (paras 2.20 to 2.27) says what such maps should contain and that there are a lot of LDF maps on the web, but is anyone aware of current emerging best practise. i.e. examples of maps that local authorities have on-line that appear to work well, software solutions etc. Particularly for 'interactive' maps that link the maps to written text. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Re: On-line LDF Proposals Maps

Sorry to be a bit late getting on to this one, but here at JDi we already provide such solutions in a variety of ways. We have already integrated our e-consultation software with MapInfo (http://scambs.jdi-consult.net/ldf) and have established proof-of-concept with ESRI, GGP and CadCorp. Alternatively we have a off-the-shelf solution established with our partners at Blue Fox Technology. We also have our own open-source solution which will be live in the next few weeks for the Greater Norwich Development Partnership SHLAA consultation. This also illustrates how easy it is to incorporate multiple authority's data and base mapping and the potential for partnership use with other agencies.
