Planning Portal Development Plan information in relation to saved policies

Following the process of "saving" local plan policies the Planning Portal placed a warning on its pages reminding users to check with the LPA. However following the adoption of DPDs even more policies will be superseded. This will render to Planning Portal development plan text and mapping even more out of date and not showing current statutory information. Have others decided to ask the Portal to "switch off" the mapping and Local Plan text to avoid confusing the public - even if no alternative web based mapping is yet available and bearing in mind the possible implications for Pendleton scores?

Re: Planning Portal Development Plan information in relation to saved polic

I would hope the can provide uptodate mapping and test links to the LPAs websites - as the changes are occuring. At Basildon, to assist in the process of distinguishing whether the saved policies are being used or not and whether the Portal inks to the right document, we assembled our saved policies into a separate document, rather than just providing an addendum of those policies which are saved in our Local Plan, With regards to Pendleton, CLG have published what Housing and Planning Delivery Grant (HPDG) will now be based on: http://www.communities.gov.uk/publications/housing/allocationsummaryresponses ...and their is now less focus on Pendleton style assessments to rank online websites. In fact I am not sure whether the scoring survey is still carried out. The planning element of HPDG seems to be based on: a) demonstrating sufficient land for housing (40%); b) delivery of Core Strategies and DPDs (50%), c) joint-working (4%) and d) publication of SHMA (4%)
