Future traveller sites and Local Plan/Core Strategy - Public forum - Planning Advisory Service (PAS)

Could anyone share best practice concerning Traveller Land Supply assessments and the connection to delivery of this provision. Has anybody done a robust assessment that has been through an examination process as part of Local Plan:Core Strategy development?
