Updated Local Councils' Innovation Framework available now

A new version of the Local Council’s Innovation Framework is now available. It has been updated in response to the sector consultation.

Chief executives, or other senior managers, can use the new self-assessment questions to reflect on what more they might do (or stop doing) to encourage more innovative working in their councils.

Between April and October 2012, the Accelerating Innovation In Local Government Research Project will test the Framework in a number of councils:

  • Meeting chief executives to discuss their responses to the self-assessment;
  • Conducting focus groups with frontline employees;
  • Examining the differences between chief executives’ views and their employees;
  • Examining the differences between the views of chief executives and employees in different councils.

Chief executives, and senior managers in councils, are invited to use the Framework, then confidentially contribute their findings and comments to the Project by emailing: joan.munro@btopenworld.com

For more details about the Framework, or the Project, contact Joan Munro on the email address above or by telephone on 0779 2952 498.
