Your Profile: click - complete - connect

Yes, in the new look Knowledge Hub, coming soon in 2017, it really will be that simple! Just click your name, complete your profile - right there in-line - and you’re ready to connect with thousands of other like-minded individuals across the public sector and beyond.

Our new profile area will make it a whole lot easier for you to edit your details and see everything relating to you.

You told us

In your feedback, you said you’d like it to be easier to update your profile details and upload a photo. You wanted to be able to access all your stuff quickly and easily in one place.

What’s changing?

Everything that relates to you will all be in the same area. Clicking your name will take you to your profile where you will also find your blogs, connections, groups, messages, notifications, favourites and be able to adjust your settings.

Knowledge Hub new profile navigation

You’ll be able to edit your profile information and your photo simply by clicking on them using the new in-line editor. Once you’ve completed your profile, you’ll be ready to connect with other Knowledge Hub members.

Why change it?

Another thing you told us was that you’re fed up of seeing so many blank profiles and photos on Knowledge Hub. We agree! We think that to really generate a feeling of community and sense of belonging, it helps to know who people are, read a little bit about them and see what they look like.

By completing your profile, you are enabling the Knowledge Hub system to know things about you, so it can suggest relevant and interesting content, groups and people to you. In addition, you’re also making it easier for people to connect with you, which can bring great benefits. Connecting with others helps you build your professional profile, develop important working relationships with colleagues and learn from others in your field of expertise.

In addition to the in-line editor, we’ll be encouraging all new members of Knowledge Hub to complete their profiles through a staged registration process, improved information as they first log in and a redirection to their profile as their first port of call.

Look out for our next blog for more sneak previews and news on what’s changing on Knowledge Hub.

I always struggle to have members fill in their profiles/add photo so this will be an amazing addition!
