We have been discussing whether we should be monitoring demolition in CIL cases to make sure that the demolition that has been discounted in the calculation actually happens, and if it doesn't happen before 3 years can we issue a new liability notice and charge for that previously discounted amount?
Obviously, we realize this would put more pressure on our CIL team and were wondering if anyone had come across applicants claiming for demolition and then never carrying out the demo? Also, the only CIL cases we monitor up to and after completion are those that claim reliefs.
Do any other authorities monitor demolition on CIL applications?
