Newspaper adverts for planning applications

Just looking at this, and the requirements set out in PPG and Table 1 http://planningguidance.planningportal.gov.uk/blog/guidance/consultation-and-pre-decision-matters/table-1-statutory-publicity-requirements-for-planning-and-heritage-applications/

Whats missing from this is the requirement to advertise (in a local newspaper)  planning applications likley to affect the character or appearance of a conservation area.  I had

assumed that I would find this in some separate Listed Building and Conservation Area regs, but a search to find this has drawn a blank.  Anyone able to point me in the right

direction?

Thanks

RE: Newspaper adverts for planning applications

Thanks to the Planning Jungle I have been able to answer my own question.  Its Reg 5A of the Planning LB&CA Regs 1990, and was amended by the 2015 Regs (SI 809).

Also, I wondered how the 'Statutory Notices for the 21st Centrury' work was going on, anyone able to provide an update?

Thanks
