Planning Performance Agreements
Hi
We're think of introducing planning performance agreements and there are a few questions I hope someone can provide answers to!
1 - Charging is just for the 'non-statutory' elements (e.g. pre-application advice). Does this mean we can't charge to provide extra resources (i.e. more staff to speed up the process) for the determination of the application itself.
2 - Charging has to be on a cost recovery basis. Does this mean the same hourly rate as we charge for pre-app advice?
3 - I note we can charge an admin fee for entering into the PPA. Is there any information on how this charge can be calculated? What fees are others charging?
4 - Did others get Member approval for doing PPAs?
5 - How successful have PPAs been? Are there major schemes which have decided not to enter into a PPA in your area? Has the timetable agreed at the start of the PPA been met?
Look forward to hearing from you! Any other advice greatly welcomed.
Tom
