Erroneous/Fraudulent Plans Submitted
A planning application has been approved for an extension but subsequent to that it has been noticed that the architects have misrepresented the position of the main house, moving it away from the property boundary by a distance such that the extension appears to fit within the boundary - while in reality the extension overlaps the boundary by approx. 1m. This may be an accidental error but it seems unlikely.
How common is this kind of practice, and is this something the planning authority would be concerned with subsequent to approval?
