Use of CIL to fund cross-boundary infrastructure

I work for a partnership of local authorities in Northamptonshire who have all implemented CIL. We are looking at producing a protocol / memorandum of understanding on the use of CIL receipts to fund infrastructure across local authority boundaries. Does anyone have any experience of similar protocols /MOUs? If so it would be good to hear from you and also to get a copy of any examples out there. Many thanks. Colin Staves

Colin,

You might want to look at the work the Greater Norwich Growth Board have done in the development of the Gretaer Norwich Infrastructure Plan. I haven't had any involvement in the devleopment of the Plan but work for one of the constituent authorities.

RE: Use of CIL to fund cross-boundary infrastructure

Thanks Moira,

I can see that there is a reference to the pooling of CIL funding which is what we want to do. I will contact the Growth Board to see if this arrangement is supported by any form of agreement.

Kind regards
