Local Proportion to non-parished areas

We are currently thinking about the best mechanism by which CIL local proportion monies can/should fund projects in un-parished areas. I would be grateful for any examples of arrangements that have been set up and  are being used by other authorities.  Thanks

Tania,

We had the same issue here in Gedling (Nottingham).  The unparish areas were particularly troublesome as there wern't any Ward or Community Forums to call upon or administer the collected sums.  We have recently had a governance framework approved for use in relation to the allocation and expenditure of the neighbourhood portion of Community Infrastructure Levy receipts in the non-parish areas of Gedling Borough.  The Report and Guidance Note approved can be found in the link below:

This year will  be the first year of use.  We've scheduled an annual review of the process to allow for any tinkering of the process if any issues arise during it's introduction.  Our members were particularly keen to get something in place to facilitate engagement.  Please contact me if you have any further queries regarding the process.
