As part of our town centre project, PAS are looking to do some work
around Article 4 directions - in particularly where these remove
permitted development for change of use from office (and the new Class
E uses) to residential in town and city centres. If your area has used
Article 4 directions in this way (or is looking to do this) and you

You may remember that MHCLG recently consulted on revisions to
Chapter 4 of NPPF (link
here) with some options for restricting the way that Article 4
directions could be used and their extent. Policy announcements on
these and other changes are expected in the near future and so it
would be useful to get together and consider their impacts. In
particularly, we want to help LPAs understand the implications of any
announcements on Article 4 directions and identify some best practice
