New Survey of Planning Obligations – Can you help?

Colleagues, Communities and Local Government has recently commissioned the University of Sheffield to carry out research into the extent and value of planning obligations entered into in England in 2005-06. This is an update to similar research carried out for the year 2003-04, published in May 2006 as Valuing Planning Obligations in England: Final Report (available on our website: http://www.communities.gov.uk/index.asp?id=1500142 ). A questionnaire was sent on 26 June to senior planning officers (usually the Chief Planning Officer) and Chief Executives in each local planning authority in England. Some of you may have been copied into these e-mails. The questionnaire asks for details of all planning agreements signed between 1 April 2005 and 31 March 2006. Responses are requested by 13 July, but any received afterwards are still welcome. If you would like to help with this work you can download a copy of the questionnaire on the CLG website at http://www.communities.gov.uk/index.asp?id=1511687 Best regards, Paul Martin CLG PaulG.Martin@communities.gsi.gov.uk
