Hello, I am currently in my third year at the University of the West of England studying Property Development and Planning. I am currently undertaking research for my dissertation, the question I am hoping to answer is:
Has the scaling back of S106 agreements and the implementation of CIL, had a negative impact on the delivery of affordable housing?
The purpose of this work is to investigate if the introduction of the Community Infrastructure Levy and its strict non-negotiating charges, have a detrimental impact on the delivery of affordable housing. The research aims to analyse and assess the current affordable housing crisis, the contribution of S106 agreements, the introduction of CIL and the relationship between CIL and S106.
I would be very grateful if anyone had any particular views on this subject or useful information I could use.
