Neighbourhood Planning funding

Does anybody know how to go about bidding for the new neighbourhood planning funding? According to an announcement by DCLG on 18th December, new funding was due to be available for bids from the 2nd January (yesterday) but I cannot find any information on how to apply for it. The announcment can be read here: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-cash-backing-more-communities-to-put-neighbourhood-plans-together Thanks, Graeme

Re: Neighbourhood Planning funding

Hi Graeme, I'm not registered on the site yet but you can fill in the forms etc via the following site: https://logasnet.communities.gov.uk/logasnet It might be worth checking if your finance department are already registered as they may use the site to access other funds. I've attached the letter I received yesterday on the subject. Hope that is useful. Naomi

A word of warning, should you receive any funds: Having gained a reasonable amount of funding from the Govt. for neighbourhood plans, our finance department have been in touch to inform us that the money is not ringfenced therefore we will lose it if it is not spent by the end of this financial year. Has anyone else experienced this? Call me naive but this seems somewhat shortsighted, given how long it takes for most community groups to get moving on these things.
