Community Hubs (Shard Community Facilties) - Public forum - Planning Advisory Service (PAS)

The objective of securing the provision of "community hubs" is increasingly becoming common as part of large scale housing and mixed use developments.What examples exist of this being successful? What models / best practice exists in terms of the mix of facilities ie youth,health,education,community etc, and also subsequent management arrangements.Would like to hear peoples experiences.
