We are a Surrey district that has faced, and is facing, major new development. We recognise that implementing large planning applications does not lead to the creation of communities (except when the new residents unite to complain about what went wrong!). Our Overview and Scrutiny Committee wants me to commission some research on how to create new communities, drawing on local experience. Does anyone have ideas on consultancy firms who would be appropriate? I will look on other websites such as Academy for Sustainable Communties too. Thanks.
