Outline permission time limits

Outline permission time limits

An outline permission was granted which required submission of all reserved matters within 3 years as standard (which expires in October). These reserved matters have been submitted and approved recently giving two years for commencement of development. It is possible that the client may wish to submit a separate set of reserved matters to vary the approved scheme, though would still rather this be dealt with as reserved matters rather than as a full application which would reopen the debate on matters of principle etc. Am I correct in assuming therefore that a further set of reserved matters would still have to be submitted within the original time limits of the outline permission (i.e. before October)? Or does the wording of the outline permission imply that the previous submission of reserved matters now implies that this time limit has been complied with and therefore reserved matters could in theory be submitted after this period? All thoughts greatly appreciated.
