Removal of Deemed Advert Consent

Our Council wishes to seek a Direction to remove Deemed Advert Consent for residential To Let boards in part of the city. I am putting together a report for Members about this and would like to hear of any experiences from other authorities who may have done this - in particular some examples I could refer to would be appreciated.

I understand Leeds is going through this process at present (article 7?)

Re: Removal of Deemed Advert Consent

Graham. I run an advertisement control workshop in Scotland and at a recent session in Edinburgh we were discussing the Scottish equivilant (Regulation 11 of our 1984 Regulations). I discovered that Perth and Kinross Council have made a number of such orders in respect of various conservation areas ... with great success. Unfortunately I don't have a contact but I'm sure you could find some help through their general e-mail address which is DevelopmentManagement@pkc.gov.uk.
