Strident third party commentators on UK planning - Public forum - Planning Advisory Service (PAS)

I have come across at least one third party website which regularly comes out out with various 'bold' statements about any and all aspects of the current UK planning system. I really don't know what to make of such apparently authoritative and informed websites. I find the over aggressive style very wearing - but are the opinions expressed often valid? Do YOU bother to visit such websites? Do they provide you with any useful background information? Or is such a website merely a marketing tool designed to beef-up the author's credentials?
