Some key messages
In a recent Chief Digital Officer meeting (attend by the CDO in Health and Care, Local Government, Welsh Government and the Centre for Digital Public Services), we discussed the risks, opportunities and potential decision-making processes to support the safe, transparent and appropriate use of Artificial Intelligence.

Based on conversations, we know several of you are already exploring issuing guidance to your teams.

The guidance below has already been circulated within Welsh Government, and the CDO felt it was a sensible idea to share this for you to use as you see fit. Please review and amend to align with your own organisation’s policies before issuing.

As you would expect, we will be keeping a very close eye on these technologies as they develop. Along with the other CDOs and CDPS, we are interested to hear potential ways we can test, pilot and use these tools in a safe way.
