The UK Cyber Security Council has a Careers and Learning section on their website, which is dedicated to providing essential information on the cyber security profession. According to the Digital Infrastructure Minister (Matt Warman, MP, 2021): “The UK Cyber Security Council will ensure anyone interested in an exciting career tackling online threats has access to world-class training and guidance”. There are four main resources, which offer a range of help - from explaining the basics of what cyber security is to resources about accessing training and qualifications.

• ​​​​​​Career Mapping Tool: This tool introduces different knowledge areas within cyber security and assesses your interests/skill level to help you find out which specialism would suit you best. 
• Cyber Career Framework: This section breaks down and goes into detail about the 16 specialisms in cyber security and suggests pathways through and between them.
• Certification Framework Tool: This resource helps you see which certifications would be useful to you and at what point in your career to pursue them.
• Training and Qualifications: There are many routes to enter a cyber security career, this resource lists the training and qualifications available.

Reliability: The UK Cyber Security Council is the self-regulatory body for the UK's cyber security profession. It develops, promotes and stewards nationally recognised standards for cyber security in support of the UK Government’s National Cyber Security Strategy to make the UK the safest place to live and work online.
