Records Retention is a service provided by the LGA’s LG Inform Plus suite of programs. It helps councils create and maintain a retention schedule with information on 1,800+ types of record that councils are likely to keep. The tool helps you to determine the retention period for a record and whether retention is a legal requirement or the council’s own business decision. It also helps with General Data Protection Regulations by identifying types of records which may contain personal data.
